Your Dream is Here
Applying for Student Visas
If you are planning to go abroad to pursue higher education, you need to apply for a student visa of the country where you intend to study. Although immigration regulations vary from country to country, students need to have in place certain documents, which would be necessary to go to any country from their homeland.
Before they apply for visas, it is mandatory that they hold valid passports. Moreover, the validity of these passports should ideally extend beyond their intended duration of stay abroad.
It is also necessary to have a minimum of two blank pages in passports in order for visas to be stamped. If they have had held passports earlier to the existing ones, it is necessary for them to submit a copy of all those passports.
It is also required that students get admission confirmation from any one of the educational institutions where they desire to study.
It is important that students show proof that they have adequate financial resources at their disposal to pay for their living expenses and tuition fees, apart from their travel expenses.
Students going to the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, etc. are required to show that they have adequate proficiency in English by undertaking English Language Tests such IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or PTE (Pearson Test of English) or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). If they are planning to head to countries such as France or Germany, they should accordingly provide certification of the languages of those countries as per the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) Certified Levels.
Finally, applicants may need to get character certificate by visiting their nearest police stations to prove that they have no criminal cases registered against them, and also would be required to go through medical tests to prove that they are in good health.
