Visit and business visas
Visit visas, also known as tourist visas, and business visas are short-term visas given to individuals or groups who are travelling abroad
Visit visas are availed by those who travel to a country for leisure, for sightseeing or for medical treatment or to attend functions.
For instance, US visit visa is a B-2 visa. While on such visas, individuals are not allowed to study nor do business.
On the other hand, the US Business Visa, known as B1 Visa, is granted to foreign nationals who intend to enter the US on business purposes.
With a B1 visa, they can attend business conferences, seminars or enter into contracts. The rules for UK business visa and Australia business visa are also similar.
Documentation required for business visas are as follows:
- A letter inviting them from the foreign country’s business house or organisation.
- It must be mentioned in detail the purpose of the visit to that country.
Employed people should mention details of their designation, tenure in their company, and other details, including a letter from the employers approving their leave for travelling overseas. Self-employed people, on the other hand, must show documents of their business activities, accounts, details with regards to the financial health of their company and so on.
Details of their itinerary, provisions made for their accommodation and a return ticket to their home country, Bank statements of six months prior to their intended visit.
